Course name
Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV: General Knowledge
Based on WHO/HHS-CDC generic training package on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, adapted for CIS countries.
Main Learning Objectives This course teaches knowledge and basic skills in the areas indicated by the teaching module topics and necessary for providing comprehensive essential PMTCT measures.
  • Module 1. Introduction to HIV/AIDS
  • Module 2. Overview of HIV prevention in mothers, infants and young children
  • Module 3. Specific interventions to PMTCT
  • Module 4. Infant feeding in the context of HIV infection
